The Bavarian metropolis lies on the banks of the Pegnitz River. Strolling through its main square, you’ll find colourful market stalls open almost every day and the Frauenkirche, the city’s symbolic Gothic church, soaring overhead. The Kaiserburg castle also has exhibitions and breathtaking views of the city from its towers, Utazómajom writes.

Tirana’s main attractions are located in the main square, such as the Et’hem Bej Mosque, the interactive museums BunkArt 1 and 2, which show the world of communism, and the House of Leaves, an exhibition in the Albanian secret service building.
